Turn your day at home into a different one, finish your coffee and choose your DIY, there are no excuses. DIY treatments are much safer since you can control the ingredients you use, they are certainly fresh and more fun at the same time!

Skin Brightening mask: Turmeric Face Mask

Want to know how to brighten your skin naturally? Use this mask! Its skin benefits include brightening, improved skin complexion, and overall rejuvenation for dull skin. Basically, it’s a golden miracle powder for your skin!

What You’ll Need:

A bowl
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon of honey 
1 tablespoon of yoghurt / milk 
½ a lemon

Instructions: 

  1. First combine honey and yoghurt/milk.
  2. Then add turmeric powder and squeeze ½ a lemon to get few drops.
  3. Mix well and use a cosmetic brush or your fingers to apply the mask.

How to use:

  1. After applying wait for 15 – 20 min before removing it with warm water and pat dry your face.
  2. Don’t apply mask on your eyes and mouth. 
  3. Apply it once or twice per week to naturally brighten up your skin. 

Daily Facial Massage: Youthful appearance

With this facial massage you can increase blood circulation and bring more oxygen in your skin. Moreover, you can tone your skin and gain a healthy glow. Relaxation is also guaranteed!

What You’ll Need:

Massage cream or oil for face

Instructions:

1. Apply cream or oil to five points on the face. 

2. Start from the centre of the forehead, make 7 circles while moving outward and upward to the temples. Repeat 3 times in a heartbeat pace.

3. Stroke the fingers under the eyes and up to the inner corner of the eye, press slightly and slide the fingers across the eyelids, under the eyes and back to the inner corner. Repeat 5 times. 

4. Press the inner corners, draw a line outward to the temples and press them gently. Repeat 5 times.

5. Make a sweeping motion down the top of your nose 10 times, then massage 5 times up & down the sides of the nose, finish this step by drawing 5 semi-circles around your nostrils. 

6. Now draw 5 semi-circles around the edge of your mouth with gentle pressure on the upward strokes.

7. With your entire hand draw 7 circles across your cheeks, from chin to temple and press gently on the temple. Repeat 3 times. 

8. Do a facial massage once a day after your cleansing step in the evening. 

Teeth Whitener

Most whitening products use chemicals to bleach your teeth, if you desire to have whiter teeth but also to gain them through natural and safer way here’s the formula to your new smile!

What You’ll Need:

A bowl
2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide (1.5%)
1 teaspoon of baking soda

Instructions:

  1. Combine these 3 tablespoons, mix them well.
  2. Gently brush your teeth with the mixture for 1 – 2 min.
  3. Use this whitening paste 2 times per week and occasionally.

Heat Treatment: Avocado Heat Protectant

Whichever hot tool you use to style your hair, you’re exposing it to the heat. A heat protectant creates a new coating on the hair strand that reduces the impact of the heat on the hair and helps with styling.

What You’ll Need:

A spray bottle (around 200 ml)
Avocado
Water
Essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Fill up the bottle with about 150 ml of water.
  2. Add about 45 ml of avocado oil into the water.
  3. Add up to five drops of your favourite essential oil.
  4. Seal & shake the bottle well immediately and before every use.

How to use:

1.After washing your hair, let it dry till it’s only damp.

2. Then spray the entire length of your hair, or spray your hand and apply the product with them.

3. Wait a few minutes until heat protector dry and then use your hot tool.
