Dear ladies, I am quite sure you have at least one liquid lipstick at home. Whether you are using it for years or just have started, there are certain mistakes you cannot afford to make. Here is the list of mistakes and know-how to correct them to get that gorgeous look.

The preparation

Wrong:
If you apply it directly without peeling your mouth, it can end up looking patchy. Your liquid lipstick will fall from your lip lines and start to flake after a while.

Correct:
Use lip balm, vaseline or scrub to remove the dead skin, then moisturize your lips.

The hydration

Wrong:
If you apply lipstick just after the peeling there is still possibility your lips are not enough hydrated. Plus, liquid lipstick already dries the lips.

Correct:
Use lip balm and kiss your hand to remove any excess.

The lip shape

Wrong:
To have a nicely defined outline it’s very hard to achieve only with the lipstick and with this kind of a product there is no second chance!

Correct:
Use first the lip liner. Start from the middle and work on till the end. Go to outer corners as well so the liquid lipstick can blend into it.

The lip liner

Wrong:
Applying the lip liner after the liquid lipstick. It’s very hard to blend with it cause once it’s try it has very solid texture.

Correct:
Apply it before the lipsticks by tracing the outer edges of your lips, see mistake no.2.

The application

Wrong:
If you apply multiple layers, then it will appear cranky and will start flaking. The layers will start to bleed, avoid applying too much of the product.

Correct:
First remove all the excess from the wand and apply very thin layer at a time until the lipstick is still wet. This allows the smoother application.

Circle at the inner rim

Wrong:
Applying liquid lipstick at the inner rim of the mouth, after a while the strong line will appear.

Correct:
To avoid ending up with that circle, take the creamy lipstick in similar/same shade and apply & blend it with the liquid lipstick.

Rubbing the lips

Wrong:
For creamier formulas it’s perfectly fine to do so but liquid lipsticks typically dry quickly and come with precision applicators, so there’s no need to rub your lips together to disperse color.

Correct:
First apply the product on the bottom lip because more color will be on the brush when you first pull it out of the tube. Use the remaining color on the wand to fill in your upper lip, starting in the center and working your way out. Let them touch once it’s dry.

Reapplying

Wrong:
It’s quite impossible to touch up the liquid lipstick.

Correct:
First you have to remove it and then repeat the applying.

Removing the lipstick

Wrong:
Water, makeup remover, tissue won’t help you. You will just look like a clown.

Correct:
You have to apply first lip balm and them wipe it all off with a tissue or a wet wipe.

Dear ladies, I hope after this tutorial you can master the desired look!
